About Our Studio
Located in the historic central business district of Longmont, our studio is a lovely turn-of-the-century Victorian featuring all of the character and charm of a bygone era. Our clients enjoy an experience unlike anything else available anywhere. From our authentic Hollywood red carpet entry and personalized marquee to our memorable waiting room, our clients enjoy our VIP treatment from start to finish.

Our warm and inviting waiting room offers clients a comfortable place to relax by the fireplace and enjoy watching films and slideshows on our big screen TV. Be sure to notice our beautiful and unique gold-raked ceiling. Our fully stocked kitchen beckons clients to enjoy complimentary drinks, gourmet coffee and wholesome snacks while they wait.

Moms can rest easy knowing that our studio offers all the comforts of home and has been carefully childproofed for added peace of mind. We offer age appropriate toys and films, toddler safe bathroom amenities, and a clean changing table for young children.

With both an indoor camera room and our one-of-a-kind enchanting on-site outdoor garden studio (one of only a few available in all of Colorado), a wide selection of backdrops, props, specialized wardrobes and unique set designs, we offer our clients more options for their portraits than any other area studio. About Our Photographer
Since I was a young girl, I've been drawn to the visual arts. I began capturing images of nature when I was only 8 years old. Years later, I joined the yearbook staff at my middle and high schools as a photographer, image developer and layout designer. It wasn't until I started photographing my children that I realized just how much photography meant to me. I began to truly refine my photographic skills and focus on creating beautiful portraits of my children. Before long, family and friends began asking for my unique blend of contemporary and classic portraits. After years of freelance work, I decided to dedicate myself full time to photography. I graduated from the New York Institute of Photography and created Balsman Photography. I chose to incorporate my name into my business because each portrait I create has meaning to me personally, as well as to my clients. Because each portrait bears my family's name, I take great care to ensure only the highest standard of quality and service. The Balsman name has now become known as a standard for excellence and quality. I am very proud of that fact. Now, more than 30 years since I started taking photos with my Kodak instamatic camera, I have the opportunity to work with interesting and wonderful people of all ages and from such varied backgrounds to create meaningful works of art that they proudly display and cherish.
